The Garmin GTS series offers a range of affordable collision warning products for most GA aircraft. These new systems combine both active and passive surveillance to provide you with real-time traffic information. The GTS series comes with a variety of models to fit your need, GTS 800, GTS 825 and the GTS 855. Below is a comparison chart so that you can identify which model will suite you best.
GTS 800 TAS
Suited for light aircraft and helicopter, the GTS 800 offers a low cost traffic option for general aviation. The system consists of a remote transmitter/receiver computer unit and a single top mounted directional antenna.
GTS 825 TAS
The GTS 825 is recommended for faster and higher performance aircraft. The GTS 825 can depict 30 of the most relevant traffic threats and it can track up to 75 targets simultaneously.
GTS 855 TCAS I
TCAS I certified. Active surveillance range of up to 80 nm and is recommended for today’s higher-capability cabin class turboprops and business jets. TCAS I capability is mandated by the FAA for commuter aircraft with 10 to 30 passenger seats.
